We shall try again...

I will try again. I managed to find alittle time to rewrite "Craziness of the Dragon". I then submitted it back to Forbidden Publications on the 20th of January.

Now we shall see...

This story seems to have been in constent motion. Just like the main character, J'ar. It first started out to be a 2,000 story for a mag. which went under before it was even printed. Then I added more (up to 5,000 words), so I could submit it to Forbidden Publications. Before it was submitted to Forbidden it was submitted to Mundia Press for a book of short stories and that project got axed too. Now the story stands at a nice 6,890 words and about 60% of it was rewritten.

I believe some of the story line was lost and I also think the rewrite soften it alittle, but this was needed. If it is going to see publication at all, some sacrifices have to be made.

"Craziness" is on hold at this time.

"Craziness of the Dragon" was NOT accepted by Forbidden Publications. So now it is on hold. I'm not sure if I'm willing (right now) to re-work this story to have it put on hold for another four months. It is only a five thousand word story. I have 're-worked' this story twice to have Forbidden tell me to 're-work' again and resubmit it...I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon.

The proofs for "The Daysong of the Knightbird" have arrived in my e-mail box. I now have until December 26th to do my final edits.

I'm thinking that it will be the last part of January or the first part of February for the release.

This is the continuing adventures of Jesse Knight...yes, book two of The Knightbird series.

I wish that I was more excited about "Daysong" but I'm not. I plan on giving it the best attention I can, but I'm just not excited about it. Maybe it is coming at a bad time of year. I put way to much pressure on myself around the holidays and now my writing it taking that center stage.

Scrooge...or just being single?

I have never concedered myself a Scrooge. I loved the holidays, it was a fun time (when I was a kid and didn't have a care in the world!). Always at Christmas there was family so there was someone to talk to and run with. But now things have changed...Don't get me wrong...I'm don't want to be on anyones simpathy list but it just not the same. My brothers and sisters have their own family and well, I'm single. I can count all my friends on one hand and...well...they have families too. So I don't want to invite my pathic self to their good times. I feel bad enough so think of how I would feel standing in among THEIR families. I hate being alone but its worse when your alone in a crowd. I know they mean well but I just don't feel right being there.

It looks like we are not getting a holiday party at work for second year in a row. The current management is making it rough on planning it so I guess we won't have it. There is still one at bowling and I got Staci name. I still have no idea what to get for her. That is it for the Holiday Parties for me.

The jury is still out on the Christmas Tree going up too. I mean...when your single what is the use. It's just another thing I have to fight with the cat and dog over. I'm wondering if it is even worth it. The Christmas lights didn't go up either this year. I can't find the time to clean my house let alone put up Christmas lights. I will do the cards...I should make an effort to stay in touch with my relatives at least once a year. And I will go and wrap presents for the church (Nikki asked and I know they could use the help).

But personally, why bother? I have not husband or kids...no boyfriend or love interest to spend the holiday with...so why bother?

Coming Soon... Donni.

Coming soon....

"E'Mor's Romances ~ Donni" is coming right along. It has been a hard story to write. There is really no back ground on her so everything has to be from scratch. At least...I can show you the cover I designed for the printed version. I'm going to make that a rule to have the next cover designed and ready to go when the previous story comes out. You know just to wet your taste buds.

"In the Works..."
"Star'Leen" runs from beginning to end of story, but "Donni" is different. It accually starts before "Star'Leen". The major part is after (way after) the first story. So a book is 'in the works' which will contain BOTH "Star'Leen" and "Donni". It is tentively titled "The Desert of Stars". It will be more then just slapping "Star'Leen" and "Donni" together. It will be one complete story with new chapters added to freshen the story up.

Update... "Craziness of the Dragon"
I have heard from Forbidden and they had informed me they have just started to look at the October submittions. So I'm thinking soon, I'll post one way or the other.

The Local Newspaper??

I really do know else to say this without it coming out bad and this is an obervation nothing more.

Living in a small town in Montana has its upside and its downside. The upside is a tight community. Everyone knows everyone else and some will even watch your back for you. Crime is low as far as I know we don't have any serieal killer here. But...

The downside is this...don't color outside of the lines. Being that this is MONTANA, an artist is to draw wildlife, cowboys and scenery. A writer is to write about Montana fiction, cowboys or anything else that is 'so-called' about real Montana.

Here is the problem...I don't.

I was raised here and this is all that I know. I have not even seen the ocean. I have never been to Europe or abroad. I have made it up to Canada because we are only about 200 miles from the border. I was not raised on a farm but I have done farm work (my sister was married to a farmer). I'm not a fan of the 'big' city, it is just to crowded for me. So here is the problem...I write and draw sci-fi/fantasy/romance.

Everytime I pick up the local paper I see something about a booksigning or a bookreading, but they are for an author who wrote about pioneers or their live story in Montana. I was interviewed by this same paper back in the first part of May of this year but I have not seen the artical in the Ranger. In fact, I have spent a guess of over $300 in mail outs to promote my writing. Now I have 'Star'Leen' coming out and I'm not sure if it is worth the effort to contact the local paper. This is a weird position to be in. So your guess as good as mine in what I am to do next.

I have a couple locally owned stores that said they would be interested in handling the book. So I'll order a few from Lulu.com to place in those stores. I will offer some freebies to go with each book to advertise for Forbidden Publications (my publisher of the e-book version). It is the least I can do for them because they have been good to me. That was also the reason of the redesigning of the cover. I wanted a professional look to attract attention.

And in the mean time...I'll just keep writing and take the situations as they come.

I am excited about the release of "Star'Leen" !!!

The release date is December 8th, 2006! There will be a release party at the Chat Room of Forbidden Publications!!! So join me and four other great releases.

I can not be more excited about the release of book one of E'Mor's Romances titled "Star'Leen". So many changes have been made to make this one of my best. I am also proud of both the versions of it as well. Forbidden Publications gave me a wonderful opprotunity to tell a story I thought needed to be told.

Please...If you have a Pay Pal account and would like a good read, download the e-book from Forbidden....

If your interested in giving a real printed book for Christmas or a present of some sort, you can also get it in a printed version from Lulu.com available through my book store...Crazy Dragon Book Store.

Just thought I would give you all a look at my table I set up at the Zonta Arts & Craft show that was this weekend. I wish I could say I could have done better, but I can't. I went, I set up, and I tried something new.

"Jesse Knight" has been reviewed...?

I can't say that I'm real proud of these review but one is sure better then the other.

My comment about the first review is this...if she can't (or won't) read the book all the way through then why is she giving it a bad review? or a review at all?
Coffee Time Romance review by Kimber

Now...this is a review. She points out the good, the bad and what needs to improved. I went as far as contacting this reviewer. I want to thank her for her time, because she had went above and beyond the call of duty. CK2S Kwips and Kritiques review by Debbie

E'Mor's Romances - Star'Leen

The release date for this e-book has been pushed back to December 8th. Forbidden Publications would like to give it more attention so they had decided to spred out their releases alittle more. This I totally understand.

I'm in the middle of second round editing with Dayna Hart. She has a good eye and she is also not afraid of calling me on several scenes of the story. Between both of us we are going to make "Star'Leen" the best she can be. This e-book is going to be better (editing wise) than "Jesse".

Zonta Art's & Craft Show

I have decided to host my first book signing at the Zonta Arts & Craft show this weekend (10th& 11th), here in Glendive. The show will be at EPEC so if your in town stop by and visit with me. I'll be along the left side of the wall as you enter the building.

Not only will I have "The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight", I will also have a pre-edited "Star'Leen" and a limited editions of 20 for "Craziness of the Dragon". I will also have t-shirts and other little items from the Dragon Rose on-line store.

Pictures will follow....for sure!

The Daysong of The Knightbird

I have re-edited this story on my own and sent it back to the publisher. I have learned alot from editing other stories of mine like "Star'Leen". I'm currently writing on the third story in this series and fate is making some changes of it's own.

I have decided not to stream line this story, but to allow a second pair of eyes to look at it. I want this story to be the best it can be. It is still looking at a February / March release.

No cover has been decided on... if you have an idea let me know... loreann@midrivers.com

E'Mor's Romance - Star'Leen

There was a change of title, but the story remains the same. I wanted to wait until I had a little more information about this first adventure in romance writing.

First, the title was changed to better associate the story with a series. So the title was once "Star'Leen ~ Rise of the Father's Son" is now been changed to "E'Mor's Romances ~ Star'Leen". That is fine with me, I'm learning alot from these gals at Forbidden Pub. They have been so helpful to me through this whole process.

Second, a kicka** cover was made for me to help with the promotions of my little kingly romance. D. J. Alling was the master mind behide it and I thank her much. Many cover designers would not have tried so hard the second time around and she nailed it.

Third, the release date...yup, I got one now. I would love to thank Rene (the boss lady) at Forbidden Pub. for reaching above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did she supply me with a date, but she also gave one to almost everyone else at Forbidden. Kudos to you my dear!!!
Oh yea... the release date is November 3rd, 2006.

Last, but now least, I have to mention this...now having the release date and all. I beleave that this is fantasic for a story that I started to write in mid-April, had done by the end of May, was told that it was going to an e-book by the end of June, and to be release by the beginning November of the same year.

Star'Leen - Rise of the Father's Son

I was surprised to find out that "Star'Leen - Rise of the Father's Son" was one of the 15 winners in a contest with Forbidden Publications. I am so happy to see this story find a place for itself among the many wonderful e-books that call Forbidden home.

In Honor of...

In honor of my first book coming out in July, I decided to do something that has been on my mind for a long time. I decided it was time to get "Jesse Knight" out of my head and over my heart. With the Motorcycle Show in town this weekend, it gave me a great opprotunity to do so.

This piece of art was originally done by Chris Watkins but the tattoo was done by Cindy from Eagle Tattoo out of Billings, MT. She did a wonderful job putting Chris' Art to work. So yup, this is one of kind piece of art. Next time Cindy is in town (that is if she comes back next year for the show), we will have to put something in the background.

Warnings about tattoos...they do hurt going on. Don't let anyone tell you different. They also cost a pretty penny. So be sure this is what you want to do before walking into any Tattoo Shop. It should not be done on an impluse.

The release date for "The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight"

I was informed by PublishAmerica that the release of my book "The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight" will be July 10th, 2006. I was also informed that there will be a press release about the official release will be sent to my local newspaper, the Glendive Ranger Review.

And yes, the cover pictured below will be the cover used.

This has been a slow process for me and I beleive it has taken it toll. Along with this and the few small nippings at work has made me more tired then I need to be.

love to all...

The cover?

PublishAmerica has sent me the idea that I had for the cover of 'The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight". But...being the curious person that I am, I asked them for their take of this cover. I do have say that the my idea is growing on me. What about you???

E'Mor's Romance - Star'Leen

I'm happy to say that I'm done now with chapter five on this novella. "Star'Leen" is the working title, but it seems to be less about her and more about E'Mor coming into his own, so the title might change. I'm heading for ten chapters all together. This also encludes the rest of the series. So as soon as I am done writing this first book in this series, I will start shopping around for a good e-publisher to submit it to.

I think I might have stated before The Knightbird series will stay with PublishAmerica but this series will not. If I cannot find someone to take it I just might self publish it.

You can find out more about the series by checking out the website, E'Mor's Romance

Love to all...
