E'Mor's Romance - Star'Leen

There was a change of title, but the story remains the same. I wanted to wait until I had a little more information about this first adventure in romance writing.

First, the title was changed to better associate the story with a series. So the title was once "Star'Leen ~ Rise of the Father's Son" is now been changed to "E'Mor's Romances ~ Star'Leen". That is fine with me, I'm learning alot from these gals at Forbidden Pub. They have been so helpful to me through this whole process.

Second, a kicka** cover was made for me to help with the promotions of my little kingly romance. D. J. Alling was the master mind behide it and I thank her much. Many cover designers would not have tried so hard the second time around and she nailed it.

Third, the release date...yup, I got one now. I would love to thank Rene (the boss lady) at Forbidden Pub. for reaching above and beyond the call of duty. Not only did she supply me with a date, but she also gave one to almost everyone else at Forbidden. Kudos to you my dear!!!
Oh yea... the release date is November 3rd, 2006.

Last, but now least, I have to mention this...now having the release date and all. I beleave that this is fantasic for a story that I started to write in mid-April, had done by the end of May, was told that it was going to an e-book by the end of June, and to be release by the beginning November of the same year.

Star'Leen - Rise of the Father's Son

I was surprised to find out that "Star'Leen - Rise of the Father's Son" was one of the 15 winners in a contest with Forbidden Publications. I am so happy to see this story find a place for itself among the many wonderful e-books that call Forbidden home.

In Honor of...

In honor of my first book coming out in July, I decided to do something that has been on my mind for a long time. I decided it was time to get "Jesse Knight" out of my head and over my heart. With the Motorcycle Show in town this weekend, it gave me a great opprotunity to do so.

This piece of art was originally done by Chris Watkins but the tattoo was done by Cindy from Eagle Tattoo out of Billings, MT. She did a wonderful job putting Chris' Art to work. So yup, this is one of kind piece of art. Next time Cindy is in town (that is if she comes back next year for the show), we will have to put something in the background.

Warnings about tattoos...they do hurt going on. Don't let anyone tell you different. They also cost a pretty penny. So be sure this is what you want to do before walking into any Tattoo Shop. It should not be done on an impluse.

The release date for "The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight"

I was informed by PublishAmerica that the release of my book "The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight" will be July 10th, 2006. I was also informed that there will be a press release about the official release will be sent to my local newspaper, the Glendive Ranger Review.

And yes, the cover pictured below will be the cover used.

This has been a slow process for me and I beleive it has taken it toll. Along with this and the few small nippings at work has made me more tired then I need to be.

E'Mor's Romance - Star'Leen

I'm happy to say that I'm done now with chapter five on this novella. "Star'Leen" is the working title, but it seems to be less about her and more about E'Mor coming into his own, so the title might change. I'm heading for ten chapters all together. This also encludes the rest of the series. So as soon as I am done writing this first book in this series, I will start shopping around for a good e-publisher to submit it to.

I think I might have stated before The Knightbird series will stay with PublishAmerica but this series will not. If I cannot find someone to take it I just might self publish it.

You can find out more about the series by checking out the website, E'Mor's Romance

The final look...

I have just recieved that final look at "The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight." I did, however, find five misspelled words so I let my editor know about them. As soon as they are corrected then we should be good to go. Then it is sent to the graphics dept. for a cover.

Well then...it is off the stores and to whoever would like to read it.

Beautiful Presents

This week I celebrate my 40th birthday (and yes, I decided to celebrate it). This wonderful picture came to me in one of my birthday presents. I am very lucky to know Rob and Becky. They are good people and I hold their friendship high. I met Rob through my current job and he has been (and is) a joy to work with. It is so wonderful that you have friends that know you so well that they know the perfect gift to give you.

Rob and Becky gave me a book, "The Lord of the Rings Sketchbook" by Alan Lee.

"The Lord of the Rings" is still and inspiration to me in my writing. "The Fellowship of the Ring" was the only movie I wanted to see after my parents passed away (it came out that year). So it is a joy to recieve such a wonderful gift from such a good friends. I quickly looked at so that Rob could see it too before he left the station (his show is only 3 hours one day a week).

I decided to take the week off for myself and such. I just needed some time down to get book two squared away and to write on book three without intruption. Yes, I think it might be a good week.

A Change of Romance...

I am currently writing in book three chapter three. I decided this would be a wonderful time to re-entroduce the main character's brothers through their father, as father and son bond over the common ground of mother. The King starts to remember all the mothers of the rest of his children therefore giving a little more background and bring the sons back into the story line.

While I am doing these special little story for each of the mothers I started to realize something. There is no way I could tell their whole story correctly. So I might be thinking of a romance novel about the loves of King E'Mor. Going more into the stories of some of the woman that touched his long life.

I have never wrote romance so this will be something different.

Kit Rae

You know I have been a big fan of this guys swords and art for some time. I can see him designing something for "Jesse Knight" to use after he has been trained up a little. Kit Rae's art and swords are some of the best looking fantasy items I have seen in a long time.

Yea, I can see "Jesse" holding something like this. Can't you?

"The Daysong of The Knightbird"

I got word yesterday that PublishAmerica has decided to publish book two of The Knightbird series. We might have a problem receiving the contracts because I don't have a mailbox right now. Long Story....

The hurting kind...

I got into deep thought this morning over this topic. You know I wish we lived in a perfect world where nobody hurt anyone else but you know pain has a purpose. If all things were good and great in our lives then they would not be good and great, would they? If a bad thing happens to me and I can come through it (as I and everyone else has), I feel I have learned something then if was not such a bad thing.

I can not count how many people that have told me about their lives. It is like they are stuck in reverse or something. I know I do it too, I'm guilty. Bringing up the past and dwelling on it, been there and done that. Then again, let's not 'throw the baby out with the bath water' here. To keep those bad times in mind helps you not repeat yourself in having to go through it again. God gave us a memory for a reason, it is so we don't keep making the same mistakes over and over. Let's one thing straight here LOVE is not a mistake and if it is... it is worth making. Trusting someone could be. Trust is not love but it is a part of it.

Saying the words "I Love You", now there is a Pandora's Box for you. Man those are some hard words to say when trust is an issue. How can one say them with honesty when you can't trust the people you are saying it? Maybe that is what led me to this topic this morning, I don't know... I can't tell ya. Then there is the other side of coin here, saying "I Love You" too much to the point where they just become words with no meaning and lastly... (this one's my favorite because I been hearing it alot from someone I know) saying the words "I Love You" coupled up with and insult. Insults and those special words don't belong in the same sentence... they don't even belong on the same page!!! That is love with restrictions and that is not love it is now a control issue.

I hate it when people try to control me or something I am doing. They say to the public that they will help you then they tell they won't or even better yet, tell you lies to hold you back. That is when they hope that you get fusterated and quit, they may not say it but it is at the back of their minds. When you do follow through and make something of it, they come back around around and tell you "I knew you could do it... I was behind you all the way." These kind of people drive me nuts! This is when that little gift that God gave you comes into play... you know, memory. You look back at all the little tale tell signs and you can see like an open book. The bad thing is I know a few of these people and I even work with a couple of them. But you know... You just have to tell yourself that in end this is yours and YOU have a right to be proud. Do for all the right reasons, your reasons.

love to all...

P.S. - All comments on anything having to do with "E'Falco's Nest" is e-mailed directly to me. I will not stand for any slamming.

Writing on...

I just thought I would post a status report on all the projects that are coming and going in my life.

I'm still waiting to here from the publisher about BOTH books. I'm thinking that they should be getting in touch with me for "The Daysong of The Knightbird" sometime this week (that is book two). As for book one "The Violet Eyes of Jesse Knight", well I hope to hear from the editor soon. I e-mailed PublishAmerica about the status of "Violet Eyes" and they said that it recently was assigned to an editor so we will see. I can only hope soon.

A writing friend designed a cover that I could possiblely use. After several trys, this was the one I decided on. Now I'm not sure if I will use it but it is nice to have a stand by just in case.

I have been writing on book three since I have been waiting to hear about books 1 & 2. I have been working on chapter three (and maybe four). I have been writing small shorts stories about the mothers of all of King E'Mor's children. How he met them and so on. I was thinking that if I wanted to carry this on to a romance novel of shorts. Who knows what might come of it?

Stevie Nicks' Nightbird

I have yet to hear this song. It sounds real haunting though. I seriously thought this was a Fleetwood Mac song but it is not. It is from her album "Wild Hearts". You know it would figture, I have the rest but that one.

I have this song playing in the back ground on my 'Chapter' pages at The Knightbird website ( http://www.freewebs.com/knightbird ). This kind of, just kind of, for shadows what is coming in my series. Jeanne helped my work it out and I thank her again.

Nightbird
Lyrics: Written by stevie nicks and sandy stewart.
And the summer became the fall
I was not ready for the winter
It makes no difference at all'cause I wear boots all summer long
My eye make up is dark and it's careless
Some circles around my eyes
Sometimes the real color of my skin
Is my eyes without any shadow
And when I call
Will you walk gently
Thru my shadow
The ones who sing at night
The ones who sing at night
The ones you dream of
The ones who walk away
Capes pulled around them tight
Cryin' for the night
Cry for the nightbird tonite
And so the winter is really here now
And the blankets that I loveI am surrounded sometimes
By too much loveAnd when I call
Will you walk gently
Thru my shadow
The ones who sing at night
The ones who sing at night
The ones you dream of
The ones who walk away
Capes pulled around them tight
Cryin' for the night
Cry for the nightbird tonite
And the darkened eyes
Thru the net of the lace
In the darkness
It's hard to see her face
Pulls back the net
And you feel the touch
Of her fingers
And you see she turns the eyes
And you see the eyes of a nightbird
The ones you dream of
Finally the nightbird
Finally the nightbird
Tonite
