I wanted someone who aged beautifully to give you all a great mental image of Gerd. I believe Lauren Bacall does the trick.
Gerd has work in the Royal House all of her life. She watch each of King E'mor's children being born. She is the best birthing mother in the Crown City. Gerd has a special place in her heart for Jesse even though she did not watch him grow up. I would even believe (or think) she might have a secret love for King E'Mor, himself.
