E'Anna is Jesse's equal, his twin. Twins are very rare on Quadstar. If 'equals' are born, one usually dies. E'Anna was the bigger of the two, so she would have been the one to live. Jesse just had a will (and a need) to live.

E'Anna would grow up in the temples. She would become the leader of the entire religous cast. They would all look to her for guidence and leadership. But E'Anna was carefully watch over as well, by one of her elder brothers... J'ar. He too, grew up in the temple and he would have a soft spot in his heart for E'Anna.
